The only safe way to do this is to have the burning portion of the candle in a separate jar (within the larger jar). Any dried or silk flowers pose a huge fire hazard if they are in the same container as the burning wick.

I don’t know if it will help when lit but the flowers may die down over time and if you want flowers on it you could get artificial flowers which could help or like my aunt who is a wedding decorator uses silk to make the flowers and they stand out beautifully and nothing can beat that but is quite expensive to do.

My mum has been using dried flowers in her candles for ages now. Your method is correct. However, dried flowers will not aide in the scenting of your candle. I reccomend using a complimentary floral or vanilla scent with whichever flowers you use. Happy candlemaking.

my thoughts are do your walls a beige color use abiant lighting to get the rich warm feel.
get that chocolate color for your accent color get throws pillows blankets boarders door frames currants in the darker color. also use a redish color. for other accects like a vase or something.
use the throws on everything you ahve white. so each chair should have a blanket on it that is brown or a pillow.

Donate some of the clothes to Good Will and the art supplies to a school or something like that.

It sounds like you are really aware of the problem. That is the first step.

How hard is it for you to part with the stuff. Are clothes and art supplies the only thing you hoard.

Your plan does seem good, if you can stick to it. As far as how many art supplies to keep for your future students, I think a whole cabinet full is too much.

How about letting your daughters help decide which clothes they want to keep. Each girl should need about 7-10 regular outfits, 2 dressy outfits and a few older clothes if they help with garden/yard work, painting, etc.

Keep telling yourself your children deserve a nice HOME and not a pit to live in.

There are a lot of hints I could give, but, there just is not enough room here.I have had to help 4 different families and it gets pretty lengthy, based on how severe it is.You need to learn how to shop “smarter” not by impulse. If you want tips, email me.

Imhyper2u@yahoo.and mention “Hoarding” in the subject line
